Spring 2025 ROC (Kona, HI)

The Spring 2025 Region I, Regional Operating Conference (ROC) will be held at the Outrigger Kona Resort & Spa. This property overlooks Keauhou Bay, the lava cliffs, mountains, and has beautifully landscaped grounds.

If you are a Chapter President and cannot make the meeting, please fill out the Spring ROC 2025 proxy letter and return to Joey at joey.shibata@gmail.com by Friday, March 28th.

Hotel Registration:

To book a hotel room at the Outrigger Kona Resort & Spa, use group code: 250401CSTC. Anuhea Haalilio (Revenue & Reservations Coordinator) will be assisting us with our group room block. If we have any questions, we can call her directly at (808) 930-4917 or email her at anuhea.haalilio@outrigger.com. NOTE: our room rate of $244 (not including taxes) is available three days before and following the event (and of course, during the two days of the event).

Transportation:

We recommend renting a vehicle, especially if you are arriving before or staying after the event. Parking for the group is free.

Lyft or Uber to/from this properly is costly, unless two or three people share the cost. There is no real transportation to anywhere else, so a car is handy (this is not Honolulu/Waikiki: it’s a much more remote island”.

Group Dinner:

We will be doing a group Hawaiian Dinner on the Hawaii Lawn of the hotel on April 2 at 5:30pm. Go to the “Hawaiian Dinner at the Outrigger Kona Spa and Resort” event link to register.  The cost for dinner is $135 per person and significant others are invited.

After ROC Activity:

For the after ROC event scheduled for April 4, we are planning on visiting A’Ko Ako’a (see: https://www.akoakoa.org). They have planned for us to be there in the morning and are planning a presentation before the tour of the facilities. This is a new eco-project on the Big Island that has been in research for about 40 years and they just started group tours in October 2024.
